uTorrent: Beta 1.5.1. released und übersetzt

Nach einer längeren Pause kommt nun die Beta des beliebten schlanken µTorrent-Client: die deutsche Übersetzung wurde wie immer zügig von der mom-Community nachgeliefert. Eine lange Liste von Verbesserungen und Features weckt Erwartungen für die Final.

µTorrent erfreut sich angesichts geringen Ressourcenverbrauchs und sehr kompaktem Programmcode großer Beliebtheit bei der BitTorrent-Gemeinde. Anfangs spartanisch ausgestattet, bewiesen die Programmierer mit den folgenden Updates, dass auch ein winziges Programm - die aktuelle Version schlägt mit 168kB auf der Platte auf - mit Features glänzen kann, die sonst megabyteschwere Installationen voraussetzen.

Nach längerer Updatepause haben die µTorrent-Entwickler die Beta der 1.5.1 zum Download zur Verfügung gestellt. Die aktuelle Version sowie das dazugehörige deutsche Sprachfile sind auf gulli.com wie gewohnt per Mirror verfügbar.

Wer sich lieber an die letzte Stable hält, kann diese auf der µTorrent-Seite herunterladen.

Hallo Hallo .. Die deutsche Übersetzung lässt sich problemlos downloaden und entpacken. Aber bei der Beta-Version bekomme ich leider auch nur eine Fehlermeldung von WinRar :( Getestet mit Firefox und IE 6 Beste Grüße Z3R0 :) ...

Aeh... ich komm jetzt erst wieder an den rechner, aber die deutsche Uebersetzung tut seit dem Fix... Ich tippe auf Caches, dann mal shift-Reload probieren, wenns nicht will, aber ich kann sie von hier problemlos runterladen und oeffnen. ...

Apple filterte den Begriff "Jailbreak" im iTunes Store

Im US-amerikanischen iTunes Store wurden statt dem Begriff "Jailbreak" lediglich Sternchen zwischen dem Anfangs- und Endbuchstaben angezeigt. Davon waren letztlich alle Kategorien betroffen. So wurden neben Apps auch Klingeltöne, Podcasts, Musikstücke, ganze Alben und eBooks zensiert angezeigt. Laut den Untersuchungen von Shoutpedia waren mehrere Monate lang 95% aller Begriffe davon betroffen.
